These days more women are getting tattoos than ever before. Thus has lead to a great change in the tattoo industry and a growth in women tattoo designs.. There are more shops now than ever before that cater to a more female clientele. It used to be that women who wanted a tattoo had to enter into a male dominated world. The tattoo shops, designs and artists were all predominantly male. Fortunately times change and women find themselves in a world of tattoos that caters to them more today than ever before.. With tattoo shops that cater to females, more and more female tattoo artists and a rapidly increase in the number of tattoo designs for girls.
If you go into any local tattoo shop these days you are likely to find tattoo flash designs displayed on the wall and in large binders around the shop. However, what is different about these flash designs is you will now find a ton of great tattoo designs for girls. In the not so far off past all of the flash designs that were displayed had a bunch of skulls, daggers, flames and pinup girls and designs that would generally cater to men. These days when you go in your local tattoo shop you will find more and more designs that suit a woman's tastes. As an example you might find designs of flowers, fairies and butterflies . Now the tattoos are more feminine, sexy and girly all at the same time. It is not uncommon to find flash of butterflies, fairies, dolphins and flowers.
Still don't believe me about the growth of women and tattoos? If not then just turn your TV to the Learning Channel and watch the show LA Ink. You have probably heard about the original TV show Miami Ink by now in which Ami James opened a tattoo shop in Miami Florida. The shop was created for a television series that aired on the Learning Channel. In the second season of the show Miami Ink Kat Von D a well known female tattoo artist joined the male dominated tattoo shop. Right away Kat Von D clashed with the shop owner Ami James which led to a spin off of her own series LA Ink. Her shop found its home in LA and of course features mostly female tattoo artists. Hot and strongly independent females that is! Well, this is a prime example of the great switch and the huge amount of change that is happening in the tattoo industry.
There are numerous other examples and this could go on. Let's just say the tattoo industry is going through major changes right now. The good things about this change is there are now many more cute, sexy tattoo designs for girls. Women now are able to find a tattoo shop that is more suited to them and one they will feel comfortable in and that suits their need better at the same time. Of course if you are a female contemplating a tattoo don't be persuaded by anyone to get a tattoo design. Don't ever get a tattoo just because you think other people will think it is cute and feminine. The whole world of tattoos is founded on self expression and rugged individualism. So even if you want a large skull full sleeve tattoo then by all means go for it. Even if you want a more manly tattoo design it is just nice to know that you now have the option.
